Twitters stance on this is the correct one for their brand in some ways and so it’s important to understand that you as a company should have never gone into those waters in the 1st place. Your brand is your world and building someone else ( especially when platforms continue to change every 3-4-5 years) is much more of a bad play then just getting slapped with Trademark issues!I talked about this a few months ago at the 23 minute mark of this keynote
Big Omaha - Minute 23:00
“I really hope that people understand, like here’s what drive me crazy, when I see products like Tweetie or Twitterrific I’m always like, ‘nooo don’t you know what’s going to happen?’ You know facebook’s going to open up and then you’re going to want to have the open, you know, API to facebook status but now your called Twitterrific so it’s a little niche and then…You know, just keep that in mind if you’re a serial entrepreneur and you like to do niche little businesses, keep in mind that whatever the hot thing is at the time, it’s going to be the hot thing of the time so go with maybe a little bit of a more global name that you can like bring that into. There’s just going to be new things, its always going to change.”

About time! Tumblr finally releases their photoset support - we first saw this come out after SXSW?
Any word if the picture upload limit has been increased? I have never hit it but it probably won’t be too hard to do now.
Introducing: Photosets
If a picture is worth a thousand words, photosets are the future of books. Enjoy!

why my #firepit is epic: photo from my tweet earlier this week… maybe on Sunday.
I love grilling over the firepit. We were also able to bust out the pie iron. Good food, good times.

I’m proud to have gotten this stuff up and running. Our site redesign will drop later this week and it’s a huge step forward for us. All the time I’ve spent developing this last iteration - probably in the hundreds of hours - will finally come to fruition.
For the fish’s sake.

Google Insights: Twitter + Iran
The mess surrounding the election in Iran seems to have refueled Twitter’s growth. This chart shows search trend data from Google Insights for the keywords “twitter” (in red) and “iran” (in blue). Twitter’s growth stalled in mid-April and actually dipped in May, but rebounded a couple weeks ago at the time of the Iranian election.

I have been thinking/struggling with this a lot recently. Lately things have been too much talk/thinking with very little time to actually do them. And with things like twitter, blog readers and networking events the problem is just getting worse.
It really just comes down to I need to be better about managing my time and start doing the things I have already talked about. Sure new ideas are great but making them real is even better.
I need to stop making roadblocks.
